Morning Star Food Pantry Mission Statement:

 The mission of Morning Star Food Pantry is to help fight hunger by distributing food to the elderly, single parents, people with illnesses or disabilities, low-income working families and all others that may need temporary or long-term assistance.  In addition, we will provide companionship, moral support, guidance with application to government assisted programs and spiritual direction.

Note: the food pantry is open to all who are in financial need, without regard to religious affiliation. The pantry is open from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursdays, closed on the last Thursday of the month. Those in need of food are welcome to come as often as needed. Please bring valid identification for all members of your household and verification of financial need. Bring with you:

Proof of Address:  A recent bill or dated mail addressed to you AND a photo ID.

Income Verification: Bring at least one of these.

TANF statement
SNAP (food stamp) CARD
SSI Award Letter
WIC Card or FOLDER
MEDICARD or PAAD CARD
Current Unemployment Statement
Last 4 Consecutive Pay Stubs
Disability Award Letter
Disaster – Proof of Such

REGISTERING CHILDREN:

Child’s Report Card (if school age)
Birth Certificate (if under age 5)
Custodial or Guardianship Award
